the debian-announce list
The debian-announce mailing list only accepts messages from Ian Murdock
and myself. It's used to announce major releases of the system,
to people who may not currently be Debian users but have shown an interest
in Debian. Debian-user is a more appropriate venue for package announcements.
If necessary, I can fork off another list exclusively for package
announcements. Note also that Ray's WWW interface to FTP lists the 10 most
recent package uploads.
