Looks great to me! (better than the chess one)
Here comes my personal brainstorm:
* s/PLAY/GAMES/ would make more obvious the relationship 'team<-->logo'
* How would it look like 'D<pac-man icon>bian'?
My inkscape skills are below 0, but I'll try to play around with your
logo and send my scratches (if any).
