  Additionally, lintian complains when you're the last one to have
committed changes to it but is not listed in the Maintainers field ;-)...

  More seriously, the main interest I see with the Uploaders field is
when you look at your developer QA page. You get a really quick view of
the package you're Uploader for, and especially you get their bug
counts. I take great pleasure in taking these numbers as low as
possible, so I make sure the package I Maintain/Upload are as bug-free
as possible.
