announcing public access to X Strike Force SVN repositories

[This is a re-send, as the one I mailed on 6 December never showed up.]

Hi, folks.

I'm pleased to announce the availability of anonymous, read-only, public
access to the X Strike Force Subversion repositories.

The latest revision of the README file at the top of the XFree86
repository tells the story best.

% svn cat svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xfree86/README | head -n 56
README for Debian X Strike Force Subversion repository
             ======================================================

Browsing the repository via the Subversion protocol
---------------------------------------------------

Read-only access is available via the SVN protocol. A daemon is running on the
standard svn port on necrotic.deadbeast.net.

Note that multiple repositories are available. Subversion URLs of interest
include:

  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/render/trunk
  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xcursor/trunk
  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xfree86/trunk
  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xft/trunk
  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xrender/trunk

CHECKOUT OR EXPORTS MUST BE CONFINED TO DIRECTORIES THAT ARE IMMEDIATE PARENTS
OF A "debian/" DIRECTORY, OR THEMSELVES HAVE "debian/" IN THEIR PATH
SPECIFICATIONS. ABUSE OF READ-ONLY ACCESS THROUGH VIOLATION OF THIS RULE MAY
RESULT IN TERMINATION OF THIS SERVICE. It may also result in your hard drive
filling up and/or your ISP terminating your service for excessive usage of
bandwith.

Examples of paths that it is acceptable to checkout or export include:

  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xfree86/branches/4.1.0/woody
  svn://necrotic.deadbeast.net/xfree86/branches/4.1.0/woody-proposed-updates

Use of the "list" or "cat" commands is acceptable on any path specification.

Write access is restricted to people with SSH access to the host.

If you don't know how to use Subversion, you may wish to read Branden's
tutorial:

If you have more time, a comprehensive manual, written by Subversion's
developers, is also available:
