No Terminal Shortcut in Wheezy with Reverted Desktop

Desktop Team, in Wheezy with reverted desktop (hardware/graphics not supporting Gnome 3), System Setting/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Launch Terminal does not activate when selected. (Actually many of these items do not activate when selected.)
