I agree with the archive maintainers. No deb or diff.gz is allowed to change without a filename change. Why should the orig.tar.gz be different? A mirroring scheme could depend on this behavior. I suggest you use an epoch. This is exactly the kind of problem that epochs are designed to solve. Guy
