Actually, they don't "conflict", they merely "provide" the original 
arphic font packages. So it's still possible to install them in 
parallel, but they can also be installed instead of the original arphic 
packages.

Can they read the information from the existing fontconfig tool?
What about the tfm files? Are they still needed?
