debconf and l10n
Hi,
Debconf 是 Debian 的軟件包配置 元工具, 軟件包 (xxx.deb) 按著 Debconf 的
要求, 提供一些問題的模版, 當用戶安裝 xxx.deb 的時候, Debconf 就根據這些
模板, 向用戶提出軟件配置的問題. 而 Debconf 本身可以適應不同的前端環境,
比如 GTK+ 的圖形環境, Mozilla XUL 的瀏覽器環境 (現在還不可以 ;) Slang
的控制台環境, 等等..
除了 xxx.deb 在安裝過程中可以使用 Debconf 以外, 比如象 etherconf 等軟件
也使用 Debconf 來配置 Ethernet Card.
目前 Debconf 是可以在 問題模板中支持 i18n/國際化 的, 但是各個軟件包的
Debian Maintainer 並沒有在這些問題模板中加入 l10n/本地化 的 中文/日文
/韓文/法文/.. 的翻譯. (Debian Maintainer不可能都會這麼多種語言啦 ;)
我想請問一下諸位 Debian 同好對這一問題怎麼看, 是否可以發展一個
Debian-Zh 的 Debconf-Zh 計劃呢?
