Joey,

Just change the debian-cd tool variable  SIZELIMIT${CD}
to something around the size of a DVD-R disk .... ie the
exact change in debian-cd I used was:

#        make list COMPLETE=1 $SIZE_ARGS SRCSIZELIMIT=$((4000 * 1024 * 1024))
        make list COMPLETE=1 SIZELIMIT1=4665000000  SRCSIZELIMIT=4665000000

Simple, as mkisofs does not really care what
size file one creates. Of course one has to have the
disk space, and up to date kernel/utils that will create
a single file > 2G, but any woody/sid host should
handle that if properly configured.

Burning the DVD-R is another story. schilling@fokus.gmd.de is
making noises about making cdrecord (pro) a "for-profit" piece
of software, and has not released the code that
will actually burn a DVD-R......but that is another story.

Fortunately, I have access to a 'Primera Composer'

There is no real-magic in making a Debian DVD;-)
