You can try to compile ZFS natively. Go to http://www.kqinfotech.com/ and register and obtain the Code. I am currently testing ZFS native under Scientific Linux 5.5. But note the Debian Installer for KfreeBSD doesn't install the OS in a Volume. Thats not practical and in my eyes quick and dirty implemented.
