I'm installing Debian in a Mipsel-based multimedia hard disk (WebTV).
Unfortunately, the binary environment doesn't allow to run programs as
root, so I need to be able to launch busybox's telnetd specifying
another listening port than the default one (23). Version from lenny
seems to allow it, but squeeze version doesn't allow it.

This is #621485, fixed in 1:1.18.5-1. The issue was that TELNETD_STANDALONE
config option was not enabled at all, so that telnetd not only does not
let to specify alternative port, but it does not contain code to LISTEN
on any port at all, it only supports inetd mode.

Closing this bugreport, as current version in wheezy works correctly.

Thanks,
