I assume the new discover-data package will make it to Squeeze, and in
any case it is already in Sid so we do not really divert from Debian.
We do divert from Debian Squeeze if the new version do not make it
into Squeeze, which might have been what you ment.

Btw, the advantage is more than just higher resolution, it is also
better laptop support for some intern video cards (those needing
i810switch) and make it easier to get the correct printer package for
USB devices needing the splix package. The higher resolution
virtualbox install is just the most visible improvement. :)

Why would you want to change this? I have no problem with that, but
it is completely useless to change it back. The debhelper change lift
the built compat level from a obsolete version to a "supported"
version without changing the binary package at all (I ran debdiff to
verify this), and adding the python suggests keep lintian happy
without changing the package behavoiur. Both changes were done to get
rid of lintian warnings, and dropping them will reintroduce the
lintian warnings without changing the binary package in any way that
affect installations (the only binary package difference is 'Suggests:
python' in the control file).

Happy hacking,
