Appears I neglected to copy in the Bug on the follow up to the previous email and sent a reply direct to christian,

After booting the netboot image, and installing in expert mode using unstable, Grub
works perfectly, and the install completes without an issue.

Please send your installation syslog (gzipped) so we can see what is
causing it. A new try using a new daily also helps since this might be
a fixed issue in last set of uploads.
