Problem here is that the section was originally written for using 
the "hd-media" images, and not the "netboot" images.

And in the hd-media images the kernel *is* named vmlinuz:
http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/lenny/main/installer-i386/current/images/hd-media/

I've added a paragraph to explain this.
