Comments/Problems:

Drives:
/dev/hda: 40GB Harddisk
/dev/hdb: 120GB Harddisk
/dev/hdc: DVD-ROM
/dev/hdd: CD Writer

If i boot from DVD-ROM (/dev/hdc), loading of kernel fails with the message:
hdd: drive not ready for command

/dev/hdd is an old CD Writer:
AOpen Model No. CRW2440 Manufactured 12/2001
With etch, this CD Writer works perfectly.

If you need further informations, please let me know.

Regards
Bernhard
