There is a clone of this bug assigned to console-tools and it is not 
closed.

In my oponion the only problem of console-tools is that it depends on 
console-data.  I don't see how the existence of two alternative tools 
can be a bug - it is like two alternative kernels, or GNOME versus KDE.
