Package: debian-installer Severity: wishlist If installing via CD or DVD, the sources.list post-installation should contain the generic APT URIs commented-out. For example: #deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main #deb-src http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ stable main deb <cdrom installation source here> This would help users to quickly enable internet-based sources if required. It would be particularly useful to users of graphical APT tools (such as Synaptic, etc.) where enabling a previously disabled source is trivial compared to the apparent complexity of constructing a source URI from scratch. (It might even make sense to include the above generic URIs for all types of install, even when they are dependent on an internet connection.) /Lamby -- Chris Lamb, Cambridgeshire, UK GPG: 0x634F9A20
