I do not understand this bug report.  According to the information
returned by discover in your bug report, this card maps to the
snd-es1968 kernel module, and not radio_maestro:

  snd-es1968:::ESS Technology ES1978 Maestro 2E

Are you sure discover is the reason why the radio_maestro kernel
module is loaded during boot?

This is the entry in the master database:
