Hmm. There's a few mentioned on [1].

OTOH, real hardware RAID cards have there own onboard BIOS too. So BIOS 
RAID can also lead to confusion.

I guess the best term is probably "Serial ATA fake RAID" (or "Serial ATA 
BIOS RAID") and I'm fine with using that in documentation, but it's just 
too long for use as identification on partman's main screen.

From what I see on google, a lot of terms are getting used interchangeably 
without any one being really generally accepted as the correct term for 
this class of, eh, whatever.
