Bug#423634: installation and bug report

Have gone back to Woody again on that laptop - so no record of last install. Will try again at the weekend.

You asked about 3.1.

Installed this (3.1r5) on a 'similar' machine (Toshiba Tecra 530CDT - 32 MB of ram - 1.4 GB hard drive) with the same model of ethernet pcmcia card, and it worked fine after the re-boot.

Regards

Mal

What are the installed packages ('dpkg --get-selections', in the hope
that you installed only a base system so that this remains readable)?
Is the pcmciautils package installed?
