Looks to me that you have downloaded the wrong CD for this machine. 
The "alpha" CD is suitable only for the machines that have an alpha 
processor, not for machines with an Intel processor.

Try downloading an image for the i386 architecture instead.

Closing this report. Feel free to file a new one after you try with the 
correct image.
