As Etch is almost ready to be released, there is not very much point in 
trying to trace and solve this error which may have already been solved 
in later versions of the installer. It also looks like an issue that not 
many users will run into.

If you can reproduce the error using a daily installer image [1], then 
please file a new installation report and we will look into it.

Please try to include some additional information that could explain why 
it fails. For example, check the output of 'dmesg' and if there are any 
messages in /var/log/syslog that could help explain the problem.
Also, try mounting the swap partition manually from the console on VT2 and 
see if that produces additional information. 

Closing this report for the reason given above.
