Successfull install, two questions.

Foremost, thank you all for this fine installer. It is very intuitive
and simply "feels right".

Success report:
I installed current i386 netinst daily on AMD Sempron 3000+, 512MB
RAM, SATA HDD (on south bridge VIA vt8237, VIA chipset KT890),
everything went fine, all devices were recognized (gigabit eth.
Marvell 88E8001, Saphire Radeon X550 - incl. acceleration!).

Minor question:
Why is the modutils package installed when Debian does not use 2.4
kernels anymore?

More serious question:
I used the following crypto-setup: LVM on the top of one big dm-crypt
partition (sda2) + small /boot partition (sda1). LVM currently
contains one logical volume "root" holding everything (I'm planning
to add "home" and "swap" later).

While shutting down the system, I can see that crypto partition can
not be stopped, because LVM is still running on the top of it and LVM
can not be stopped, because it seems that LV "root" is still open:

Deactivating swap...done
Unmounting local filesystems...done
Stopping remaining crypto disks... sda2_crypt(busy)done.
Shutting down LVM Volume Groups...
Can't deactivate volume group "vg" with 1 open logical volume(s)
Stopping early crypto disks... sda2_crypt(busy)done.
Will now halt.
Shutdown: sda
System halted.

That does seem quite scary (as in data integrity).
All filesystems were unmounted cleanly, but what about the underlying
LVM and Crypto devices? Was their cache really flushed, when they
were held open and busy?

Regards
Frank Bauer
