Detect CD: [E]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [E]

Install base system: [O]
Install boot loader: [O]
Reboot: [O]

Comments/Problems:

During the install process, the internal hard drive was recognized as
/dev/sdb. The CDROM was named as sda.

The grub configuration and the fstab was populated according to that
device name. However on the first boot they were recognized in the
reverse order. The kernel paniced because of the wrong root device.

One have to correct fstab and menu.lst to have a working system.

I think modules are loaded in the installer in the wrong order.

Ask if more info is needed.
