this reminds me that the patch proposed to fix bug #342053 is still
awaiting to become part of rootskel-gtk, and, unless PPC DFB HW
accel is fixed, the g-i won't run on a GREAT number of PPC machines
without this patch.
Sven's proposal was having the "debconf/dfbhwaccel" (or whatever its
name will be) boot parameter accept a [force-off | force-on] (sorry, i 
don't remember the exact list) set of values to disable/enable 
selectively DFB's HW accel.
The patch proposed to bug #342053 should modified accordingly before
being applied.
