Bug#351265: base-installer: selectable "full journal" filesystem feature during installation
Package: base-installer
Severity: wishlist
Hi!
During the partitioning phase of the installation process is an
opportunity to select extra features for the installable filesystem
(like notail or xattr support). Modern versions of the reiserfs and ext3
filesystems support full data journaling (not just metadata). It can be
turned on with the data=journal fs option in the fstab . Imho it'll be a
good idea to support this feature during the initial creation of
/etc/fstab. (Full journaling for reiserfs works only with the 2.6 linux
kernel seria.)
