Curious message when configuring LVM

Hi,

I installed Debian etch AMD64 using the logical volume manager and
came across the following message during LVM configuration:

"After the Logical Volume Manager is configured, no additional changes
to the partitions in the disks containing physical volumes are allowed.
Please decide if you are satisfied with the current partitioning scheme
 in these disks before continuing."

Is this really true? If so, does it only refer to the installation
process or also to the running system? E.g. if I have created
a 25 GB physical partition for my logical volumes on a 40 GB
hard drive, will I never be able to use the remaining 15 GB?

Especially [c]fdisk still let me create new partitions in the
free space, could this have any negative side effects (which is
what I suspect from the above message)?

Thanks & Best Regards,

	Andreas
