I don't know > what I've done wrong, but the problem remains... well, when I tried to strip Arabic glyphs from the font file things got definitely better, but wrong glyphs were still picked from somewhere; perhaps we should delete arabic glyphs from anywhere _but_ the wanted font file. davide
