As long as it supports VGA, the installer will run fine.  Anything after
the first reboot is beyond the scope of the debian-boot mailing list.

If you want to setup X, ask the debian-user list.

If it doesn't work at all when booting the installer, then you may have
a screen that dislikes the vgafb modes.  You can disable the framebuffer
in that case using one of the options mentioned at the installer boot
prompt (hit F1 etc to read the options).
