Re: libgtk+2.0-directfb question

hi

in the last days i've been trying to understand why gtk.so crashes inside the miniiso using Alastair's libgtk+-directfb udeb. Today i unpacked libgtk+2.0-directfb0-udeb_2.0.9.2-3_i386.udeb contsnt inside /gtkudeb and ,as root i did

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/gtkudeb/usr/lib/

then launched debconf: the frontend ran well.

So i recompiled gtk.so, that was previously compiled against libraries obtained by "apt-get source gtk+2.0-directfb", using my own made libraries. Again the frontend ran well , no matter what set of libraries was compiled against. But, as you may know, any generic GTK apps crashes, whatever set of libraries was used for coimpiling, inside miniiso using libgtk+2.0-directfb0-udeb_2.0.9.2-3_i386.udeb. The question is: why apps crash on miniiso when using libs from libgtk+2.0-directfb0-udeb_2.0.9.2-3_i386.udeb and do not crash on a "normal" debian system when run against the same libs from libgtk+2.0-directfb0-udeb_2.0.9.2-3_i386.udeb ? I'm starting to think the cause has not to be searched inside libgtk+2.0-directfb0-udeb_2.0.9.2-3_i386.udeb. I'll do more tests using libs (atk, pango, fontconfig, freetype etc) from udebs on my laptop to run gtk.so and see what happens.

ciao
