Package: installation-reports

Debian-installer-version: 20050929 businesscard
http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/current/debian-testing-i386-businesscard.iso
uname -a:
Date: 2005-10-02
Method: boot from cd with businesscard cd-image to do a network-based
installation from ftp.de.debian.org without proxy.

Machine: Acer Aspire 2012WLCi notebook
Processor: Intel Pentium M 1.5 GHz
Memory: 512 MB DDR
Root Device: IDE harddisk
Root Size/partition table: 20 GB ext3-partition with 1.1 GB swap partition
Output of lspci and lspci -n:

Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot worked: [ ]
Configure network HW: [O]
Config network: [E]

Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives: [O]
Partition hard drives: [O]

Mount partitions: [O]
Install base system: [E]

Reboot: [ ]

Comments/Problems:

the installation didn't work out. it hangs at configuring the network. the
dhcp-things seemed to work out but after partitioning the hard-drive it is
hanging. it's transferring data thorough the network and even uses the
harddrive after that. but on the screen you can only see: installation of
the base-system - configuring the network with progress indicator always
at 1%.
