Hi Marek de Stone

I assume from your uname output, that you used linux26 while installing.

In order to help you, we need output of:
(lspci; lspci -n)|sort

In order to get this information, could you boot with a knoppix CD?

BTW:
As you use an AMD64 machine, you could also try the unofficial AMD64 port [1].
