I recieved the following relatively benign errors. usbcore: already loaded (displayed repetitively, slowing the boot process) Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file (multiple times throughout package installation) I was annoyed that when X failed to load after base-config, I was dumped at the command-line. A better idea would be to prompt the (possibly clueless) user if they wish to run dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86. -- Adonikam C A S Virgo .?*"*%. $ $ # Linux member #348594 { ,^. } .$.$ .**. $.$. , .**. $,m.
