Comments/Problems:

Couldn't get Promise PDC20518 SATAII150 TX4 to work with a 2.6 kernel. So=
 i
had to use Promises' proprietary driver with a 2.4 kernel from
http://www.promise.com/support/file/driver/1_SATAII%20Linux%20source%20co=
de.tgz.

But this SATA-card isn't being used although it works with a 2.4 kernel.

P.S. Thanks to the whole Debian Team for your great work.

Install logs and other status info is available in

SATA support in the kernel is still under heavy development and,
especially in the 2.6.8 kernel, is fairly basic (works for some and not
for others).

You may want to give the version of the installer being developed for Etch
(with a 2.6.12 kernel) a try, although I would suggest to wait until we
release a Beta version. That will be announced on the project website:
http://www.us.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

Closing your installation report as the installation was successful.
Thanks for submitting it.

Cheers,
