i'm back from my holidays and i've seen much work has been done on the
gtk fe; i'll try to give an answer to the bug reported by eugeniy and
davide (i'm happy to see people testing the gtk fe, eventually :)
basically, from now on, i'll manage to debug the frontend basing on the
TODO list, this buglist and svn repository logs.

i suspect this relates to the gtk system and not to the gtk fe; don't

i suppose this happens because the gtk fe caches the main-menu question
the first time it's received: the gtk frontend should be started when
the main-menu is going to be displayed
