Comments/Problems: Mainly with kppp for dial-up connection. RedHat
worked flawlessly with script (?) editing all the necessary files. In
this case I had to do several installs because of guesswork on where
the errors were and try edit config files (7 of them) manually
(without making backup files!!!). But then my situation is unusual in
having a radio-telephone.
Monitor works normally under RH but under Debian small sections of
previous page persists on new pages viewed; cursor arrow persists on
screen (sometimes several instances) - this might be due to 8M video
memory running at 16-bit.
Security updates: made several attempts over past few days but keep
loosing connection at aout the same point on every occassion.

Install has been a dream

Too early to judge performance but initial reaction is that this is a
vast improvement on RedHat - I think this is going to be my permanent
system.

Thank you for your gift.
