Bug#231653: marked as done (Reverts to http download even when ftp is selected)

Comments/Problems:

Sorry for incomplete report, am not in front of the computer I did the install 
on.

ftp.vic.keypoint.com.au has a full Debian unstable distribution on it.  It is 
served only by FTP, not HTTP.

All went well with the installation until the base system was to be installed 
from the network.  This failed because part of the installer changed the APT 
method to http, which didn't work.

Changing /target/etc/apt/sources.list didn't help, so I completed the rest of 
the install manually (from root prompt).

This bug seems to not be present in current base-installer. It gets the
protocol from choose-mirror and preserves it in the debootstrap call.
