Dear sirs,
Thank you for creating and maintaining Debian.

Method of creating hanging:
First, I did a pretty standard install from the
CD-image that downloads packages from the net.
At the reboot, I left the computer for a quite long time
about 1 hour. When I got back had the computer hung.
It was a hard hung, CTRL-ALT+DEL did not work. I had to press the 
power switch for a long time to get the computer to turn off.

Repeated the install, with a little bit more activity, tooka a 
break for lunch, now it hung at the menu for what type of 
applications to install.

Thanks for taking care notifying us. I hereby close this bug report,
thoug some weird thing probagly remain in the kernel (however,
usually, it's better to let power saving to the OS rather than BIOS settings)
