Hmmm. But mine has the winmodem too. Even got it working with sl-modem.
Are you interested in persuing this further? You should at least be
willing to provided further info on request and be willing to test a
patch.
If so, do you want to try filing a bug upstream or contacting an
appropriate kernel mailing list yourself?
