Install base system: [o]
Install boot loader: [o]
Reboot: [E]

Comments/Problems: The first error I saw is the screen in the debian installer
has a red background rather then the expected blue. Minor issue. However, my
real problem came when rebooting. yabootconfig labled my root device as
/dev/sdb which is how it detected in the running kernel of the installer:
/var/log/debian-installer/syslog:
Feb 9 14:05:52 kernel: Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 05
Feb 9 14:05:52 kernel: SCSI device sdb: 312581808 512-byte hdwr sectors (160042 MB)
Feb 9 14:05:52 kernel: SCSI device sdb: drive cache: write back
Feb 9 14:05:52 kernel: [mac] p1 p2 p3 p4 p5
Feb 9 14:05:52 kernel: Attached scsi disk sdb at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

because there is a "mystery device" at sda:
Feb 9 14:05:21 kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

info: /bin/report-hw: discover: ;;;Y-E DATA;USB-FDU;/dev/sda
info: /bin/report-hw: discover: ;;;ATA;ST3160023AS;/dev/sdb

However, when rebooting, the device is mounted as /dev/sda:

Feb 9 16:01:06 localhost kernel: SCSI device sda: 312581808 512-byte hdwr sectors (160042 MB)
Feb 9 16:01:06 localhost kernel: SCSI device sda: drive cache: write back
Feb 9 16:01:06 localhost kernel: /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0: [mac] p1 p2 p3 p4 p5
Feb 9 16:01:06 localhost kernel: Attached scsi disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

To get around this, I had to exec a shell in the installer to edit yaboot.conf
to read root=/dev/sda4 instead of root=/dev/sdb4. Interestingly enough, I had
this problem with both -rc2 and the daily 20050208. I also had this *same*
problem on an i686 machine (though at the time I though the mystery device was
an external usb floppy, so I didn't file a bug).

Finally, sound doesn't work but that is not surprising since I have heard G5
sound was not supported.
