Reboot: [E]

Comments/Problems:

Booting from the default 2.4 kernel failed to detect the cdrom, whereas the 2.6 kernel had no problems with detection.

Rebooting mostly worked, except all interaction with the system clock seemed to hang. I.e. during the "Setting system clock using hardware clock as reference" or something to that effect, the boot sequence would just sit there, until i hit ctrl+c at which point it would proceed. The same thing happened during the second stage installer after I was prompted for whether the system clock was set to GMT.
Switching to another console, and installing the 2.6.10 kernel image and rebooting caused the base-installer to work as expected.
