Package: install
Version: installation
Severity: normal

I have downloaded the latest
120422400 2003-10-19 21:29 /mnt/tmp_cdr/sarge-i386-netinst.iso
0e8764c0a5594c4b846dcebb3aad7369 /mnt/tmp_cdr/sarge-i386-netinst.iso

and tried to install to PC. But fails :(

I was able to boot from CD, select language, select network card (e100),
then there was a test for DHCP [i've got static IP], then i've selectet
keyboard and layout, and again test for DHCP. Then I was able to set my
IP stuff. I have tried to set mirror (Czech republic) but it fails, when
I tried second time, there was a list of mirrors and first works. After
this problem several modules where downloaded and then ... blue screen
which lasted for few minutes then I pressed Ctrl+C. Perhaps this is why
later there was warning:

/var/lib/dpkg/info/partitioner.postinst
error while loading ... libdebian-installer.so.4

when I tried to report it through menu I get:

/var/lib/dpkg/info/bugreporter_udeb.postint
37: di_input: not found

I believe that I wrote those messages correctly.

Thanks for your installation report!

This bug is almost certainly no longer relevent due to its extreme age.

Please try with the latest debian-installer images, available at:

http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

If the issue still exists, please reopen this bug by e-mailing a full
installation report to 216591-reopen@bugs.debian.org.

At a minimum, the basic configuration of your machine would be very helpful.

Scott.
