I tried the mini.iso, md5 sum a6f66ae6e0c61f1ed029e89d584e4869.
Didn't have much luck I'm afraid. Here is what I was able to transcribe
by hand.
# halt
ok setenv auto-boot? false
ok reset-all
ok boot cdrom
SILO 1.4.8
boot: <ret>
...
kbd_init: assuming USB keyboard
...
usb.c: registered new driver usbdevfs
usb.c: registered new driver hub
usb.c: registered new driver usbmouse
usbmouse.c v1.6 HID Boot Protocol
usb.c: registered new driver usbkeybd
usbkeybd.c: USB HID Boot Protocol
mice: PS/2 mouse device common for all mice
...
Freeing initrd memory: 2139k freed
Kernel panic: VFS unable to mount root fs on 00:00
Press L1-A to return to the boot prom
At this point the keyboard is inoperative, L1-A doesn't work.
power down
power up
ok boot cdrom
boot: expert
this gets farther. I get taken to the main menu (not language-chooser)
and the keyboard is again inoperative. I tried tab, <esc>, arrow keys,
<ctrl>p, <ctrl>n, etc, and L1-A. None of these keys produced a result.
power down
power up
ok boot cdrom
boot: expert console-tools/arch="USB keyboard"
same result.
I was unable to save any of the logs for these attempts, without a
keyboard it's quite difficult. Also, it's unclear to me if the machine
was running at all, it may have frozen.
Am I typing the wrong spell at the boot: prompt?
