I've already filed a different bug for the initrd-tools problem, so I
thought I'd send this mailing list post in as a discover1-data bug since
it reports a missing pci id for a megaraid2 controller.

So the latest sarge installer doesn't like my DELL 2850's PERC RAID=20
controller
no prob add the following line to /usr/share/discover/pci.lst

UNDER 1028 DELL COMPUTER CORPORATION
10280013 scsi megaraid2 Powerdge Expandable RAID controller 4

run hardware detect again, yay installs.
boot kernel panic
ack!

figure out oh, the initrd that the installer installed with the new=20
kernel does not have:
modprobe -k megaraid2

ick

used installed disk to mount new / used chroot, the /etc/mkinitrd et al=20
to create new mkinitrd with megaraid2

viola sarge installed on DELL 2850 with working raid

too much work though, I think this is enough info to get this fixed, if=20
not feel free to email me.
Also I couldn't even get the 2.6version (linux26) to load the megaraid=20
driver (I guess in 2.6 megaraid2 =3D=3D megaraid) don't know what is going=
=20
on here so someone may want to look into that as well.

Thanks for the sweet distro
