As soon as I choose the menu item for "Finish installation", the final message is NOT shown....the "Restting terminal to ISO-8859-1" message appears... The "grep" error message does not seem to be related to this... I did a second stage run with DEBCONF_DEBUG=. I attach the relevant base-config.log file. The section corresponding to the above is lines 2039-2063...
