IIRC, it's normal for /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0 to be empty, /dev/discs/ is the important thing. I'm not sure if the installer is detecting your disc or not, but the current daily build has a bug that will make it say it did not find any discs even when it really did. This will be fixed in the next daily build of the installer. If you want a working install, I suggest you might want to try rc1 instead of the dailys. -- see shy jo
