Bug#265636: Idea for Dell CDROM detect issue

I've tested Osamu's latest modification to rc1's cdrom-detect (the
"invasive" patch).

 dated 20-Aug-2004 01:52)

It seems to work fine on the hardware I had available.
I may be able to to test with a system that has multiple cdroms.
