Hmmm. At first impression, this seems to belong to hotplug rather than
the Installer. Indeed, this definitely does not have anything to do
with the Debian Installer....

I reassign this to hotplug as that one seems to be the one loading the
"wrong" modules (though, the modules you mention seem rather logical
to me....which would mean your problem is rather a wrong interaction
between your hardware and the kernel modules).
