I'm note sure, but i think the disk was partitioned (and formatted) like this first:
hda1: 1.35 Gb ReiserFS
hda2: 250 Mb swap
Which i erased to make one big lvm partition.
I suppose that the new partition could be seen as a working fs...

Well, i got stuck with my nice LVM-setup in the base-install, because the
standard mkinitrd script does not work with root on LVM. Which can be solved:
But i gave up my LVM-adventure, i'll try it some other time, not during the install.
Also, i found a way to get stuck in /lib/partman/init.d/35dump:
0) Setup LVM (a PV, a VG and some LV's)
1) Remove the partition the PV is on
2) Enter the LVM config
3) Remove the LV's
4) Remove the VG
5) Leave the LVM config
6) Look at the partitioner hanging at 50%
