Seems fixed. I've just built kbd-chooser from CVS and tried with
russian as chosen language and this string is properly translated.

The country names translations are imported at build time. This is why
countrychooser build-depends on iso-codes. I added a mechanism to
countrychooser for it to include updated translations
(iso-codes.updates directory).

Russian translation for iso-3166 has been sent as #228314 by myself
when I found the ru.po the russian team in iso-codes.updates.

So, as soon as iso-codes is uploaded with all translation fixes, we
will be able to rebuild countrychooser and thus have country names
translated.

I closely follow iso-codes package and indeed offered Alastair
co-maintenance (or managing it on alioth)

This comes from a fix I made so that it uses its own
translations. However there seems to be a font problem somewhere and
strings are not shown as soon as they aren't pure ASCII7 (french
strings are shown but cut at the first accented character).

This should be reported as a bug. Indeed, I should have done it. Bug
against partitioner in first approximation.

Yeah, base-config should probably be uploaded again. Check with my
all CVS-built images at http://people.debian.org/~bubulle (but
unfortunately, I'm not sure I didn't forget to include a base-config
CVS build....:-()
